Durumi IDP Camp
The Durunmi IDP camp, one of the most vulnerable communities in the Federal Capital Territory, is home to many who have been uprooted from their original environments and now face extreme hardships. We carried out a critical intervention at the Durunmi IDP camp in Abuja, recognizing the urgent needs of the camp’s residents, we focused on providing essential resources to 400 women and girls, who often bear the brunt of displacement and deprivation. The distribution of clothing and food items was strategically aimed at addressing immediate gaps in access to basic necessities, offering these individuals a sense of security and dignity in their daily lives.
This project aligns with our broader mission to uplift marginalized communities by ensuring that those in the most challenging circumstances receive the support they need to survive and rebuild their lives. By focusing specifically on women and girls, we aim to empower those who are disproportionately affected by displacement, helping them regain some stability and hope in an otherwise precarious situation. Our intervention at the Durunmi IDP camp is a testament to our dedication to serving those who are often overlooked, reinforcing our resolve to continue providing critical assistance to vulnerable communities across the region.
